That 'dagger' found by the metal detector at the begining of this video, looks allot like a kids plastic sword, painted in gold paint.

The 04 tsunami exposed alot of shipwrecks near shore. Ive seen a small 8" golden keris dagger. The sheath is also gold with some small green and red stones. When unsheathed it will give out a sweet smell as the keris seems to have dust of type of fragrant wood.

References to such weapons is one of my favorite reasons for playing the Castlevania series. There is a TON of history info hidden in the games... Lots of high art and historical allusions. It's rly cool that the creators of the games put such in there. It adds to the feel of the age and wealth of Dracula and his properties.

Thank you for explaining what a sword is at the beginning of the video. I would have been lost without that.

The three prong sword is also famously the main sword from the game "demon sword", if my memory serves me correctly.

What irks me is that with all of our technological advancements, we have lost a great many techniques in sword making.

I was under the impression that Charlemagne also had another legendary sword named Jocasta. It was said to be a sword that slew ten thousand heathens against Christianity and a bane against the unrighteous.
