CHDK Canon A630 Timelapse - intervalometer

New (to me!) camera w/ CHDK loaded on it.


Set image to B/W postcard mode so I can get datestamp on it. I may be able to add datestamp to other formats w/ CHDK, but I don't know at this point.

This video is made up of about 2500 individual images that have been arranged into a vid with VirtualDub v1.7.6 -I know they're at v1.9.9 ,I haven't installed it yet.

color depth set to "same as decompression format"
compression set to " x264 - H264/AVC encoder"

These images are spaced roughly 4 seconds apart.
I have as yet to achieve spacings of less than 4 seconds- I suspect the write speed to my aging 1gig sd card may be the problem.

how do you use the CHDK firmware to make the time lapse? any help is appreciated!
