Dave Filoni Explains Palpatine vs Maul Fight in The Clone Wars: Season 5

My sister is watching star wars chronologically, she didn't know Palpatine was Sidious until this scene lol. It was so glorious to see her surprise realizing it.

Obi-wan always struck me as a true Jedi. Not the "no emotion" stuff, but having and expressing your emotions, but maintaining control. Don't suppress your feelings, just don't let them get the better of you.

What is also great about this scene is when Savage says “I’m not like you... I never was” is basically him redeeming himself before he dies. He was a decent person before he was transformed against his will to do horrible things. He was also always called monster, brute, animal etc. And so at the end of his life he chose to be who he truly was and not what everyone thought of him to be

The depth of this arc and level of character development is absolutly brilliant.

This version of Sidious is my favourite. With his 2 not 1 classic lightsabers and sinister outfit screams sith.
