This works really good. I just like to feed their lapel while they're setting it all the way up so I'm ready to pass it to my other hand by the time they are done setting up the full worm grip. Where I have the most trouble with worm guard is where they just have the lapel in between your legs, almost a half-worm set up. Its very difficult to defend oma plata.

Just wear a Gi with a short lapel, and people often wear overpriced Shoyorolls because of fashion. You will get the worm with little counter. Can't counter what you can't grab.

Truth behind this counter is move being impractical. Takes to much time, so opponent won't let have so much time to go for counter. I mean advanced guys, mat competitors. This is opinion of mine
