*READ*

Increasing Java heap size can increase the performance of Java by allocating more RAM to run with Java, making it faster.

-Xmx480M
Replace 480 with the amount of RAM (In megabytes!) you want to allocate to Java. DO NOT USE ALLOCATE ALL OF YOUR RAM TO JAVA!

You, my friend, are a legend!!

I have been working on an issue for a client opening a Project file (.mpp) via Microsoft Sharepoint using Steelray Project Viewer... This is the only thing I have found anywhere that has fixed her issue!

Thanks, it worked on my Windows 7 Home, Java 32Bit.  I had to click multiple times in the Parameter box before it would let me edit (add) the -Xmx command, but it finally did work.

Improving your FPS can be painful, it depends on what version of Mindcraft you are runnin i.e Vanilla, Technic, Tekkit, FTB and so on. Now when I play vanilla MC I get around 130-150 FPS but when I play the feed the beast mod pack I only get around 30 maybe 40. What I suggest is downloading the mod Optifine. It is amazing, it lets you really tweak individual video settings. So try that out and see if it helps if not. reply back to me and I'll help you out more.

Yes I am running on windows xp 32 bit with 4gigabytes of ram. Alot of people say 32 bit computers can only run java with 1 gig but i am trying to use 2 so I can run minecraft smoother.

1024m is equal to 1 gigabyte of ram so it means 2 gigabytes is 2048m
