He doesn't cover enough about what happens if Black tries to take the c4  pawn and hold onto it.

Levy says the Queens Gambit is one of the opening you need to memorize the most variations of.

Guys London and Italian openings take me from 500-900 the fastest. It has so many traps and tactics you can play with.

Not me trying to learn:
Queen's gambit accepted
Queen's gambit declined
Slav defence
Semi slav
And a whole lot of other variation as an 100 rated player...
For those who dont know 100 elo means im the top 100 player in chess...

I'm 973 elo and literally gained 200 of it from using the caro kann as black and evans gambit or fried liver attack as white

Don't listen to him, queens gambit is actually one of the hardest White openings, it requires lots of skills and experience to order to extend it's full power.

If you win it just mean that you got lucky, for people below 1000 elos just play the Spanish opening 😊

No beginner should learn the queen’s gambit. It has so many variations it’s literally so hard to remember them all. Just QGD and QGA are hard enough but you also have to know Indian Game lines

Just use the London its easy to remember and doesn't have many variations

“The only opening you need to know”. Not only is a lack of opening study gonna keep you below 1000 elo, but so is praying that someone plays d5 in response to d4

Even though it's one of the most common openings I think it's also one of the most complicated as their are so much variations such as the Sicilian and grunfeld

This is NOT an opening I would recommend to beginners… just focus on controlling the center, know how to refute the scholar’s mate, and just don’t blunder pieces. Opening theory is NEVER needed for anyone under 1200

This kind of seems like a queen’s gambit mixed with a London system
