I saw them live. Not a huge fan but it was on a festival with several other bands. Can tell you one thing. Mick sounds as good live as on stage. Never seen a band that sounds like the original record, only Simply Red.

Paris 1990, on the way to watch England in the world cup in Sardinia.
As we went past a top hotel, out comes a fully regaled doorman and a ginger rasta
I said, "thinks he Mick Hucknall".
To which the rasta turned round and said
"I am ".
Then he chatted to us till his cab game.
Explaining he lived in Sardinia, at that time and had left because of the football.
Top man, a good laugh and a true star.
