Looks like a lovely car and well well-presented. But I am struggling with the term "new model" being used. Surely this is little more than a refresh or facelift.

Previous owner of a Q8, now have the SQ8. It is a heavy vehicle so there are limits. The V8 is better matched for a more spirited ride. My 19 Q8 had the remapped transmission coding done, and it helped, but adding a throttle controller helped immensely—easy plug and play. On both the ride is very smooth, and with the US Prestige package the double panes glass really quiets things down. My SQ8’s rear wheel steering and air suspension and the active control arms are an improvement overall.

That said I agree the facelift is not significant, and in my opinion does not bring the look “forward”. But to each his own.

At least Porsche changed some of the dash layout on their Cayenne facelift I don't even think this qualifies as a facelift as the changes are so minor and meaningless

I own a '22 Q8 50 TDi and I'm glad the facelift hasn't changed too much. Not a lot of changes were needed. Comfortable and hugely practical - I sawn 2 old fence panels in half and they both fitted into the back no problem.

Finally, a GREEN car! And I love this British Racing Green.

What is the colour? Is this exclusive, as I do not see it on Audi's website?

The best new 2024 Q8 review that I’ve seen so far listing its attributes and differences between it and the Q7.

This has to be THE laziest facelift if ever there was one.

Need some assistance is it worth buying this on or could one be satisfied with 2022/2023

Q7, Q8, A8 haven’t changed for years!! Any reason why that is? Usually all leading car manufacturers facelift or bring in a newer version every few years but Audi hadn’t!! Would like to know the reasons behind it!!

That must be the laziest facelift ever. Had the same drivetrain in a Q7 and the gearbox issue is really bad, especially when trying to pull out into fast moving traffic from a rolling start. It really feels like Audi just can’t be bothered to develop their ICE cars any more and are just trying to make an old range last as long as possible.

the facelift for 2024 is not for me. I still like the front look of the 2023 model.

So glad they finally released this but PLEASE send more of these to the US in prestige trim because they constantly sell out.

I hear the ride in the q8 is incredibly smooth. I was wondering, how does it compare to the ride in the cayenne (w/ air suspension)?

The build quality of this car is far superior to new Audi’s and I’m thrilled they didn’t change the interior. Will likely buy one used next year.

Did What Car? or perhaps Audi send you to SA for the slight facelift of a low-volume over-sized Diesel? I can’t help wondering whether that’s an essential use of energy ressources…

The reason I did not buy the Q8 or SQ8 Prestige in late 2021 or since, is that large wheel size you mention. I live in mountainy ski country, with generally rougher roads, and I want as much rubber as I can get. I don't expect a 17" or 18" wheel, but a 20" would be great. I'd even likely take a 21" wheel, but definitely not 22" or the 23" now available. I only want the fully loaded highest end trim, the prestige, but I want it here in the US with the Block Optics and S-line packages, and those force me into 22" for the Q8 Prestige, and 23" for the SQ8 Prestige. Someone should tell Audi to give us maximum flexibility with our wheel/tire size options, no matter the trim and how fully loaded. I'd Prefer a 20" wheel, but if dropping down to that forces me into a smaller brake, then I'd consider that, or would consider the 21". Every extra little bit of rubber is important to me. Question: Do you know, can someone swap out a smaller wheel after market?

So basically, the hard pressed VW group have whisked you all the way to South Africa, no doubt, business class. To review a facelift of Audis Q8. Aren’t they made in Bratislava? Sounds about right. 😂

Probably the best looking mid sized SUV next to the Cayenne. I want a fast and luxurious car, but I’m tall and need space! Do I’m forced to get an SUV, but they all look pretty dumpy. Except the RSQ8, which is a beast.
