To calculate the dimensional weight,

The formula for calculating volumetric weight is length x width x height (cm) / 5000. You need to multiply the length by width by height and divide it by 5000.

Make sure it's CM, not an inch.

For example, if you have a box that's 5 kg with dimensions are 50 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm and your carrier uses a dimensional weight divisor of 5000, then your DIM weight is 10 kg.

50 X 40 X 25 CM = 50,000 and its divided by 5000 = 10 KG . So your volumetric or dimensional weight is 10 KG. But the weight of your actual item is 5 KG. Here you can not say your weight is just 5 KG; you need to pay for 10 KG. Carrier will charge which weight is bigger.

Similarly, many carriers use 4000, and Cargo can use 6000. So don't confuse.
