Robert Kraft firing Mayo after one season shows that he had no idea what he was doing after he fired Belichick. Mayo wasn't ready to be a head coach, he needed more experience. Kraft hired Mayo because he liked him. And now he's firing him to save face.

The Patriots were actually very good to Mayo. He was a linebackers coach for 5 years, and they promoted him all the way up to Head Coach instantly. He was hired over the Coordinators in NE, and a long list of more qualified candidates from outside of NE. He wasn't the right person for the job, and it showed in his results, so they fired him.

The patriots also had the 7th best defense with those same players. Under Mayo they had the worst defense in the league. 😂
