To be more specific, the National animal for Morocco is the Atlas lion, which was a species that used to live in the Atlas mountain, but so very unfortunately went extinct. Regardless, every Moroccan keeps this animal to heart and will never forget it.

Hi! I'm from Panamá, and our national isn't the golden frog; it's the Aguila Arpia! It's a majestic bird, but sadly it's an endangered species. The Golden frog is just a national symbol, but it's not the national animal. In fact, the Aguila Arpia is present in our national shield. Hope this helps ^^
