I think it's about time you did top 10 videos Schaaf. You ride quite a lot of different bikes.

this bike looks and sounds amazing but i can’t help but think about the mt10 being way more bike for around the same price

Owned one for just other a year, my first "big bike" here in the UK. 2020 Carbon model with a decat. Its insanely loud and I always get people coming up and asking about it and normally in new ride out i get told "the exhaust sounds amazing and it looks so special" i guess this thing isn't about massive power hungry fans and more just for the ride and looks. I will look at changing it next year when the insurance comes down mainly because ive owned two bikes so i just want to try more options thats the only reason to sell it. Not because i'm unhappy with it. Just ticked over 10, 000 miles and 7500 of them are mine

If you haven't already seen it FortNine made an interesting video based around the FTR 1200s model in their most beautiful motorcycle video, and there was a reference to the FTR at the end of their How Indian Makes 43% More Power video. I think those give me a bit of a positive perspective on the idea for the bike even if the practical riding experience isn't great. Both are great videos anyway and are well worth a watch.

This is the bike that will get me in trouble! Rode it in Daytona and would love to see this as a cafe racer. Reminds me of the Thruxton RS. It made me question if I still had the reflex control I needed, what a ride it was! Love these videos, that exhaust note is intoxicating!

As someone who has never ridden an FTR, and ridden far fewer bikes than you, I also agree that it's a bike the doesn't necessarily make a whole lot of sense. It's always struck me as a very fun, cool bike, but one that realistically has not practical place. I love that it exists, but it's out-performed in pretty much any category you'd conceivably place it in. Were I a wealthy man, I'd buy one, but only after I had purchased 9 or 10 other bikes... Once again, a really great, no-nonsense review... Thanks for the work you put into these. Can't wait to see your take on the new V-Strom 800 DE, as that's a bike I'm actually considering purchasing.

I Love Your films Shaaf but can’t agree on this one. This bike is it’s own class, similarly like Triumph Scrambler. There is a point in those bikes. They are different, mostly beautifuly made with soul into it. Not everything has to be rational and perfect 😉

Disclaimer: I haven't watched the whole video yet, so even if I sound like biased by your opinion - trust me, I'm not :)

I thought I'll never want such a bike, until my friend got one. I'd love to have this Indian as my second bike. I'd call it "Moodmaker".

As always with your videos, Schööfl, I could see that you weren't happy with the suspension. It seemed quite unstable coming out of corners.

FTR is nice but if you're gonna do the whole big bore naked twin thing might as well go big and get a Super Duke R. Plus that extra 60hp never hurts.

If I could afford one more bike I would certainly buy one ! I had the occasion to ride one - even made a video on that - and I loved the experience ! Great bike 👍

My current daily is a 2016 KTM Super Duke 1290 R. I wish I had cruise control and better wind protection. If I could get, like, a Veeter faring on an FTR I'd be there in a heartbeat -- that thing looks Rowdy!

I was looking to get one 😅 and lucky me, I saw your review. What a boat! It reminds me of my MT Gen 1, full of power. And when it comes to the twistes the tool was lucking stability in all levels . Best moto vlog ever! Thanks for your work.

As always pleasant video 😎 FTR is interesting yet somehow doesn’t have enough of “this is it!” factor, personally. A question - when you put the recorder in a backpack, do you fully close the bag? Or do you slightly open?

I'd like to take it for a ride sometime - I do like the idea of a big V2, but sporty. That muscle car comparison is great and fun :D

It remind me of mt01 … it was a beast. Love that it’s pure fun and torque… no matter the specsheet… and pure quality.
Sure it’s not the best but I rode carbon one. Damn it is so good. Sadly exaust along the leg was a killer for me as it would be a daily and overheat was real
