Great job as per usual Uncle Knackers - I bought one of these 12 Months ago for my home workshop and absolutely love it. After watching this I went out to the garage and turned the alignment light on - I never knew it had one. ;)

My wife surprised me last week with this setup. She found it on sale at Home Depot and my old Craftsman miter saw was on it's last leg, which I have had for over 30 years and it has seen some abuse. The table is easy to setup and the saw is light enough to move on and off the table. So after a weeks worth of use, I have been very pleased with it.

This is an excellent rear-rail miter saw with smooth action and all the articulation you need. One CON: It is a rear-rail miter saw. It requires a lot of clearance in the back, so you can't mount near a wall, such as on a long built-in countertop under your shop cabinets, which is a popular choice for home workshops. For that, you'll need a front-rail miter saw or one with fancy hinges like a Bosch.

Great job explaining all the features sir. You made my decision very easy to purchase this beautifully engineered saw. You also reminded me of the crocodile hunter 🐊 (Rip Steve Erwin) with the funny personality along the way.😂

Great information. I've been working on setting up a small hobby workshop in the garage the past few years and the first big tool purchase was a compound miter saw. I went for the Bosch 10" and is perfect for my projects. I have it on a rolling table I had and it's great to roll out in the driveway, saw away, and then use the leaf blower to dust it all off before rolling back into the garage. I never realized how handy the saw could be but I love having it. Keep up the great videos!

i've been considering purchasing a miter saw and as usual, i download the manuals and review and the Dewalt 780 manual leaves a lot to be desired with pictures. Your video answered all the burning questions the manual was fuzzy thanks

Shane, that is one fantastic, well engineered sliding saw! Look again because I think they have a
feature that boils the water for tea and a sealed compartment for tea bags and sugar. You did
a first class job with the review. I know you’ll enjoy it for many years.

I am a proud owner of this saw since November 2019. Love it. IMHO, this is the best miter saw ever.
It is packed with features that I am still discovering to this day. This video helped me uncover some of them.
Thank You!

Greetings from Arizona! I love you channel? I just bought a Ryobi 10" sliding compound miter saw.o would have liked to have bought the DeWalt but this machine will do just fine. I can't wait to see what you build with it. Great tip Knackers!

DeWalt should sponsor you. I love your videos I’ve really learned a lot in just two days. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and time.

If you occasionally need to work offsite, or you're in the FlexVolt system already, get the 790. It can work off the batteries or you can plug it in. It's just as powerful with the batteries. Otherwise an identical saw.

An excellent video. I just purchased this saw and looked for a video explaining all its features. You did a masterful job. Thank you!

Excellent. Your descriptions and videography are perfect. A small addition: The slide lock lever puts the saw at the deepest vertical cut range -- useful especially for crown molding.

Great video. I just put mine together and mounted it on the wheeled stand. Misplaced the manual. Wanted to checkout all the bells and whistles, so decided to look for a How-to video. I never dreamed I'd find one with such a thorough job of showing how to use every feature of a saw. Fantastic! and Thanks!

I’ve had this saw almost a year and I couldn’t recommend it more! For anyone in the states they often sell this saw with the stand for free around Black Friday at Lowe’s. It’s an awesome deal.

I've had this setup for a few years. I like it and it's been easy to work with. Still going strong for my home diy uses. Might see some contractor use next year too.
