This #bollywood franchise needs to take a rest but the box office numbers clearly prove that people are interested and want to be entertained! I saw this movie and you’ve put my thoughts to words so eloquently. I too want to root so badly for Kartik and understand his choices and he did above average job but what was this movie. So boring, so uninspiring. Makes you want to see BB1 again.

Some scenes were of 200 YEARS ago and still people were dressing and talking like it was near past. Tripti dressing like she’s going to a bollywood diwali party and not in a village. Katrina in Namaste London has dressed better with her being an NRI in the movie itself.

BB1 was psychological horror thriller movie, BB 2 and 3 could have been so good if they would have stick to the psychological horror theme but they messed it up.

Romantic songs are not needed in horror-comedy, unless it connects properly with the storyline. Gotta give this point to Maddock horrorverse, at least they tried their best to do so in a near decent manner.

It feels like cinema lost today. With both of these films on their way to gross 200+ crores nett at the Hindi box office, more and more cash grab cinema is gonna get made. And actors like Ajay and Kartik will take fewer risks like Maidaan and Chandu Champion, which are far more compelling films. Just terrible, terrible for cinema, man.

The best thing about the creators of MANICHITHRATHAZHU unlike the remakes is, eventhough the movie was a commercial success and had a cult status following tge years, still they didnt try to bring a unwanted sequel without getting a strong story...funniest thing is that in climax of manichithrathazhu, innocent character mentions in funny way that only the nagavali's ghost is gone, the elder king's ghost is still there..these could be a good thread to bring a sequel..thankfully noone came to ruin the legacy of the original.
