Detained Columbia University student speaks out

We're hearing from the latest Columbia University activist detained by federal agents. Mohsen Mahdawi was taken into custody Monday in Vermont. Just before his detainment, he spoke to CBS News. CBS News New York's Dave Carlin reports.

When did we get so sensitive that we now deport people for viewing their opinions? Our level of tolerance for people has dropped so low that it’s saddening. We need to grow thicker skin and show up to the conversation.

Hey Mohsen, Did you ever publicly call for Hamas to return the hostages which would certainly end the bombing of Gaza? Now that you're being deported you say you feel for the Israelis also. I'm glad you see both sides so now start protests against Hamas, the real enemy.
