There's a blog I've been avoiding starting, and the permission bot really helped me figure out WHY I wasn't doing it, even though I wanted to and had gotten support and permission from others. that permission bot is such a great idea. it’s so easy to stay in our heads and invalidate ourselves. takes time and practice to come to a place of giving ourselves permission, currently struggling with it pretty bad due to anxiety! i am working on it while giving myself some grace

Cam, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and so many of them have meant a lot to me, but this permission bot just brought me to tears. I graduated fashion design college in June and have since been putting all my time into my online shop, making leatherwork and jewelry, and it sustains me! It’s amazing to be making a living off of my creative work. But with that comes the pressure of making things that will sell, and thus fear of going outside the box; I haven’t put as much in time into pure creativity as I’ve wanted for a while now. I was tattooing for a year or so in college until my classes took up too much time, so it’s now been about a year and a half since I’ve tattooed anyone. I told people I’d get back into it now that I have time but I just haven’t. And the response from your Permission Bot is exactly what I needed to hear. I can’t wait to put it to use and start this journey, thank you :)

I stopped watching your vids because I felt so guilty and mad at myself. You obvs won't remember but at the peak of the rona I commented on your video because I'd finally found the motivation to post my art to the world and I made an insta page that night. I haven't been able to keep up with it. However I've been making art relentlessly and I've improved like crazy since then. I did bg art for an animated music video last year and 2nd one will release soon! But I can't post about it I'm so critical of myself constantly thinking if this or that is good enough... I stopped posting to cara entirely because I keep critically looking at EVERYTHING. I want to do this full time I think i could but I can't take the leap. I want to promote it but I feel like I'll be laughed at. I'm really sorry.
