Όπως αναφέρουν δημοσιεύματα σε ξένα μέσα ενημέρωσης, που επικαλούνται πληροφορίες που μεταδίδει το Συριακό κρατικό πρακτορείο ειδήσεων SANA, και οι οποίες βασίζονται σε τοπικές πηγές του, ένα μεγάλο κονβόι οχημάτων του Αμερικανικού στρατού, που αποτελούταν από 60 στρατιωτικά φορτηγά που ήταν φορτωμένα με εμπορευματοκιβώτια που περιείχαν όπλα και πυρομαχικά αλλά και προηγμένα τεθωρακισμένα οχήματα, καθώς και βυτιοφόρα καυσίμων, εισήλθε στη Συρία από το Ιράκ, μέσω του περάσματος Al-Waleed και κατευθύνθηκε προς τις Αμερικανικές βάσεις που βρίσκονται στην περιοχή της Αλ Χασάκα.
Αν και οι πηγές του Συριακού πρακτορείου λένε, πως μάλλον ο σκοπός αυτών των προμηθειών, προορίζονται για την υποστήριξη των Συριακών Δημοκρατικών Δυνάμεων, εντούτοις το μεγάλο πλήθος των τεθωρακισμένων οχημάτων, που μεταφέρθηκαν από τις Αμερικανικές βάσεις στο Ιράκ, σε αυτές στο έδαφος της Συρίας, φαίνεται ότι αποσκοπεί σε κάτι άλλο, καθώς συμβαίνει χρονικά, τη στιγμή που οι σχέσεις ΗΠΑ και Ιράν, βρίσκονται στο κόκκινο, μετά από τις πρόσφατες επιθέσεις που δέχτηκαν οι Αμερικανικές δυνάμεις από φιλοιρανικές ομάδες και τα αντίποινα των ΗΠΑ, που ισοπέδωσαν φιλοιρανικές εγκαταστάσεις, προκαλώντας τον θάνατο, τουλάχιστον 19 μαχητών.

According to reports in foreign media, citing information by the Syrian state news agency SANA, and based on its local sources, a large convoy of US military vehicles, consisting of 60 military trucks loaded with containers with weapons and ammunition as well as advanced armored vehicles, as well as fuel tankers, entered Syria from Iraq, through the Al-Waleed Pass and headed for the US bases located in the Al-Hasaka region.
Although the sources of the Syrian agency say that the purpose of these supplies is probably to support the Syrian Democratic Forces, nevertheless the large number of armored vehicles, which were transferred from the US bases in Iraq, to those on the territory of Syria, appears to be aimed at something else, as it comes at a time when US-Iranian relations are in great tense, following recent attacks on US forces by pro-Iranian groups and US retaliation, which leveled pro-Iranian facilities, prompting the death, at least 19 fighters.
