The TRUTH about Graffiti Name Exchanges!

Alright, if you've drawn graffiti or been interested in the artform, you know that graffiti artists often engage in name exchanges. But why? Why do graffiti artists spend their time drawing someone else's name? Isn't the whole point of graffiti to put your own name out there, not someone elses?

Well, if you are one to believe that all graffiti artists are criminals and have ill intent towards other people's property, then I hate to break it to you, but that is simply not true.

If you believe that the graffiti artist is solely in this business for him or herself without regard to helping other artists succeed, then here again, that is another lie that shouldn't be believed.

In this video, I'll show you how graffiti name exchanges set forth a value system that most graffiti artists live by nowadays. Yes, in the years before, graffiti artists have fought and argued their way to the top by rivalries with one another. And some still do that today. However, the name exchange shows that the majority of graffiti artists out there are in love with the art form and want to see other graffiti artists succeed.
