Το βίντεο δείχνει την αρχαία ακρόπολη της Δρυόπης Αργολίδας. Οι Δρύοπες πιστεύεται ότι ανήκαν στα πελασγικά φύλα που συνιστούσαν μέρος του πρωτοελληνικού φυλετικού υποστρώματος. Αρχικά κατοικούσαν στην περιοχή ανάμεσα στα βουνά Οίτη και Παρνασσός, μία άγονη γη που ήταν γνωστή ως Δρυοπίς. Πιστευόταν ότι σχετίζονταν με τους Λέλεγες, και είχαν χαρακτηρισθεί ως φυλή ληστών.
Σύμφωνα με την ελληνική μυθολογία, οι Δρύοπες κατοικούσαν αρχικά στην περιοχή του Παρνασσού αλλά εκδιώχθηκαν και μετανάστευσαν χαμηλότερα στην Εύβοια. Εκεί ίδρυσαν την Κάρυστο και τα Στύρα. Μάλιστα τα μυστηριώδη δρακόσπιτα αποδίδονται σε εκείνους. Επίσης εποίκισαν την Κύθνο ακόμη και την Κύπρο. Το όνομα Κύθνος μάλιστα αποδίδεται σε έναν αρχηγό των Δρυόπων!
Οι Δρύοπες ίδρυσαν στο νοτιοανατολικό μέρος της Αργολίδας κατά τον 14ο αιώνα π.Χ., 3 κρατίδια, δρυοπικού πληθυσμιακού στοιχείου. Την Έρμιων (Ερμιόνη), τον Μάση απέναντι από την Κοιλάδα Ερμιονίδος και τους Ηιόνες που ήταν ξεχωριστός Δολοπικός πληθυσμός που κατοικούσε στα παράλια της ευρύτερης περιοχής του Αργοσαρωνικού, με έδρα τη νησίδα Μόδι ανατολικά του Πόρου.
The video shows the ancient acropolis of Dryope in Argolis. The Dryopes are believed to have belonged to the Pelasgian tribes that formed part of the proto-Hellenic tribal substratum. They originally inhabited the area between the Oite and Parnassos mountains, a barren land known as Dryopes. They were believed to be related to the Leleges, and were characterized as a tribe of robbers.
According to Greek mythology, the Dryopes originally lived in the Parnassos region but were expelled and migrated lower to Euboea. There they founded Karystos and Styra. In fact, the mysterious dragon houses are attributed to them. They also settled Kythnos and even Cyprus. The name Kythnos is even attributed to a leader of the Dryopes!
The Dryopes founded in the southeastern part of Argolida during the 14th century BC, 3 states, of Dryopean population element. Ermion (Ermioni), Massis opposite the Ermionida Valley and the Iones who were a separate Dolopian population that lived on the coast of the wider Argosaronic region, with headquarters on the islet of Modi east of Poros.
