As an Australian who has gotten to see the film two times, go watch it! It's an amazing film. One of the best Australian films I've seen. Just an amazing whodunnit/ thriller, filled with top-notch performances, beautiful cinematography, and a surprisingly good soundtrack. Seriously, the cover of Under the Milky Way is incredible, and I have listened to it an embarrassing amount. The film has two concurrent, seemingly connected mysteries to uncover, and is a slow-burn filled with twists and turns and shady townsfolk. At the same time it has this dream-like quality to it at times with its jumps back in time. And you get attached to characters who only appear for a few minutes. The ending is also pretty flawless. Very dramatic. Very moving.

If this film was American it would have been nominated for all of the major awards. That's a fact.

A really well acted and scripted Aussie film.. well worth watching and a good cast with Eric Bana in the lead role. I thoroughly enjoyed it.. I think we do these stark, atmospheric kind of thrillers well.

Look I didn't like this movie and it has a great cast and it's one of Eric Banas best but I have to say the ending really pissed me off...I felt ripped off...depleted...in fact pissed off for a few days over it, so if that's what they were trying to achieve by the ending, well done, but for me personally, I was really invested in it but the ending ..just ruined it for me...just my own thoughts
