The red dot thing isn’t misaligned, in real life there’s what’s called lower 1/3 cowitnessing (which the dot in the game does not quite feature this specifically) which is actually my preferred method of aiming where you set the red dot a little higher on the rifle and the iron sights are visible but do not line up perfectly with the dot, but instead are seen in the lower 1/3 of the red dot.

Secret weapon setup.
L86 with thermal and silencer.
Completely changes the L86 from major recoil to beam across the map.
Got 25k kills with it back in the day.

you can tell the red dot isn't misaligned because of the hitmarkers. on sights that actually are off, like the MG4 irons, you can clearly see the hitmarker not land where the front sight is
