Thank you! I almost gave up my new bike and wanted a return. I thought the part was broken, but your video let me realize that it was my wrong assembly, I applied more strength to tighten it, and it worked like a charm! Thank you!

Managed to strip the threads and nuts and had to get new ones, but it did fix the problem. Thanks for the advice!

Very helpful. I was worried about tightening it too much, but you reassured me!

Thank you so much for this! I thought I just waisted all my money on a new bike but I followed your steps and it worked out for me!

I did not know that these seat nuts take/required so much torque. Thanks a lot.

On my 24 inch MTB I try superglue due to the extreme position of the saddle being at the most rear point. Tightening too much would expose the thread and in worse case scenario might cut into your leg. Maybe roughening up or sprinkle crystaline powder in combination with CA glue on the pipe might also help, not to go into extreme pressure for materials

Before heading out on the road, get yourself an inventory of decent ¼" metric and SAE sockets and a socket wrench. Usually STANLEY is a good choice. Toss the crescent wrench in the tool box at home and leave it there!
DON'T buy 'garbage' knock-off brand tools... Just not worth the risk!
Using the sockets or fixed box end wrench won't round off the bolt head like that of a crescent wrench.

Wish you’d address a squeaky seat. Mine has been that way for the entire 2 years I’ve owned my 630 bike. Nothing has helped and no, I’m not overweight!
