Hey JR. My girlfriend and I watch your videos because we see ourselves as being in your guys’ shoes someday. I want to go to medical school and she wants to go to occupational therapy school. I’m currently 2 years into undergrad and have started developing a plan for studying and taking the mcat as well as applying. Just want to say thanks for putting out quality videos for everyone and helping us out! I’ll be referring back to your videos along the way to make sure I’m on the right path. You seem like a cool dude, hope you guys are staying safe. Hope the baby is doing well!

I always look forward to your content. I’ve only just recently found out I wanna be a doctor, a surgeon, and everyday, I look up videos of people going through that process as inspiration. I work 48+ hours a week and am taking 8 credits. I’ve been exhausted to say the least, but your videos give me hope, give me the fuel I need to push through this. So thank you! I’ll def take a look at your program!

Hey JR. I really loved your video. This one was very true to me and pulled on some heart strings of mine as this has been a hard journey, affecting me emotionally and spiritually. I really felt your words during the receiving your first MCAT score and thinking it was not going to happen as that happened to me after my first attempt as well. I sat with those feelings for a couple of days before I was able to get on my feet again and attempt it for a second time. I identify as a mediocre student myself, but I am doing all I can to improve my past mistakes from my beginning years of undergrad and to learn/grow from this whole journey. I am currently in a masters program and will be seeking to apply to medical school in 2023 once I graduate. I just want to finish off by saying thank you so much for creating this video as seeing you explain your story, even though brief, and having success really gives me hope and the courage to continue to keep trying and one day be in your shoes as a medical student looking to help others achieve their dreams. Thank you! :)

In the spirit of transparency, do you mind sharing your "pretty mediocre" MCAT and GPA for your successful med school application?

Hi!! Mayo Clinic Alix School of Med is my dream school! Could you please give us more tips on the application process? for example: what should we write our personal statement about? and how to maximize our chances of getting in? etc..
Also, for the premed link in your website, it is no longer working :( is there another way to work with you 1:1 on med school applications?

Do you find your efforts to post and be active on youtube fulfilling? I'm wanting to go into neurosurgery, and I value efforts of people like you shedding as much light as you can on the medical school experience. I hope to be able to do something similar for the specialty I get into :)

Will this be applicable for students wanting to apply for 2023 cycle, or just this year’s cycle?
