Where sugary substances have accidentally dropped on to your hob, ensure you remove it straight away as it will cause the glass to 'pit'. Jam and toffee making can cause the pitting.

Where burnt on food residue remains, remove with an hob scraper (at a 45' angle) and hob cleaner. Removal of grease marks and water marks can be completed when the glass has had time to cool.
