More Great Finds - Nickel Hunt and Album Fill #167
Can we find that elusive 1950 D Nickel? This is part 167 of the series (Boxes 195 and 196 for Series 2) and I do plan on updating it from each nickel box I hunt from this point forward until the nickel coin collection is completed!

FYI - The Dansco Album does not have spots for some coins but we'll be hunting these boxes of nickels for Silver Nickels, Buffalo Nickels, Proof coins, Old Jefferson Nickels (namely semi-key and key date nickels), Liberty V Nickels and 2009's for their low mintage.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and our eyes open for some valuable and rare Nickels!

I enjoy some nickel hunts. Not to toot my own horn but I just picked up 3 full sets of war nickels for (believe it or not...) $25. I was the only one to bid on them.. Great pick up for me..

Great hunt. I hope the 50 D is right around the corner. Last week, I was looking at my change from work, and I had a 1939 D, which is my first ever 39 with a mint mark

Heck - that was a sweet hunt - especially with the second box! Multiple silver, a bunch of lower-mintage nickels - and a possible Henning! You can't get mad at that! From what I know - most Henning nickels have a very worn look - and tiny, raised, pimple-like dots in the field - and the field also looks like sandstone. There is another die marker on the reverse on top of the EN in CENTS - it looks like a tiny depression - but I couldn't see it when you showed the reverse. And since they weighed 5.2 to 5.5 grams, one coming in at 5.18 could be a possibility. Another great video!

I’m surprised you didn’t say more about that 46S. It looks like it was in pretty good shape and I haven’t seen you find one in a long time. I’m surprised it wasn’t an upgrader. I don’t find them very often around here up in the Northeast. I found a 1950 silver Canadian dime in a coin star machine last night😃. First time I ever found a King George Canadian dime.
