The longer it takes to rebuild, the less of a chance that Lahaina’s community stays together. Many will move on. If this is mainly driven by Hawaii’s government, it will take decades to rebuild, and the new Lahaina will be nothing like the old.

The Maui Police chief is the same officer that was in charge of investigating the 58 victims of the Las Vegas country music concert....fact....just saying

2200 houses have been destroyed. That would cost 2.2 billion dollars to rebuild at an average cost of 1 million dollars per home. The U.S. sent 18.3 billion to Ukraine till now and more to come . Bad luck for the families who lost it all . Better move to Ukraine now

In every city, there should be a group of citizens in charge of organising the évacuation in case of wildfires... even if it is not natural.
