I was there with my wife and son and we were not prepped. The track came on and we just went for it.

Not only does the entire crowd know ALL the words, but they know EVERY one of Freddie’s vocal nuances from the studio recording. Just astonishing.

Freddie can still control a crowd, even many years after he died. He is truly a legend. The love we feel for him brings tears to my eyes watching this. Has any other singer been able to produce a reaction like this? Green Day were waiting to go on stage and waited until the fans finished singing, out of respect for Queen.

Before the 2017 concert started music was played over the speakers to keep the crowd engaged and up the anticipation. There was nobody on stage. This was the enormous crowd’s instant reaction to Bohemian Rhapsody being played. How awesome a reaction! This song is in the UK’s DNA!, we ALL love it and can react like this, no matter what music is our preferred type.
Love it! Thank you Joel.

It’s the British spirit bro, the always play songs over the tannoy to warm up the crowd before the main act comes on, and because the brits are such massive fans of queen, and in particular, this song, we can’t help but all sing along to it

Sooo back in the 80's i was in "Heaven" a Gay club in London, and at the bar to get a drink for my friends and i, and Freddie came up to the bar, and the bartender went straight to Freddie, and he said " Oh you need to serve this Gentleman first, he was before me !" I said "Thankyou !" he said "My pleasure !" such a lovely guy !

If you live in the UK you will know all the words to this song. It's the law!

I love that the crowd was too young to have even been born when this song was a hit, but it kinda transcend the generations, & has become part of us.
So many of Queen’s songs are like stadium songs & are perfect for any concert.

In the same way the Live Aid performance was not exclusively Queen fans. This crowd is not there for Queen.
It is just the magnificent effect Queen has on a British crowd.

Play this at any event in Britain and people will start singing. Even weddings.

Freddie's spirit is still here with us.

It’s the uk, it’s written into us, someone plays bohemian rhapsody, you sing along, it’s wired into our DNA. IT was just some warm up music, I don’t think anyone expected 65, 000 people to start singing along.

If you zoom in on the right side of the screen, row 6 or 7, the guy with the beard is actually me - singing my heart out! ♥

Pretty much everyone in the UK knows every single word and every single note of Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s difficult to explain in words how massive this song was when it was released and still is. I was 19 and I was hooked there and then. Still here, loving Freddie and Queen, and enjoying watching a new generation finding their music. If you want a crowd to be entertained and sing before you start your concert, it’s the only song to play!

The crowd singing in memory of Freddie just brings tears to your eyes, an amazing talent that will never die

To think most of the crowd weren't even born when it was released.
But, as with all the best music of whatever genre, this transcends time and trends.

A normal part of the band's pre-concert 'warm up' was to play the song. But on 1st July 2017, a crowd of 65, 000 did something so special and it went viral appearing on news broadcasts and other shows. A lot of bands including Green Day credit Queen as an inspiration.

The music was just on to keep the crowd entertained, the singing was just an impromptu event by a crowd clearly paying homage to great singer and a wonderful song. Simply magic.
