EASY, FAST way to Paint Brick, White Wash Brick, Black Wash Brick

Just a quick video to show how I turned my reddish/cream brick to black brick with gray grout. I tried quite a few methods but they all took forever. Then I started skimming the brick with a flat sponge and was done SUPER QUICK!

I used a Wagner brand paint sprayer from Home Depot to flood the brick with a medium gray first, then used the sponge swipe method for black.

The gray is a Cement paint I picked up from Walmart already pre-colored. I think the color was “Pewter” but you’d have to look for cement paint, it’s in a different aisle than the regular paint (at my Walmart). I mixed some black with it to make it a bit darker.

The black is Sherwin Williams Tricorn Black, exterior paint.

This method would work for anyone trying to paint brick a different color than their grout lines.

Thank you so much Larissa. The technique you developed really works better than any other I've seen so far. I've been looking for stain for my house bricks and brush was the best result I could find however it would take forever to finish (as you also said). I truly appreciate your kindness in sharing something you mastered. :)
