Starbase is a massively multiplayer online game with gameplay focused on building and designing spaceships and stations, exploration, resource gathering, crafting, trading, and combat.

Something to keep in mind about the roadmap. The things that are green and have checkmarks on them aren't necessarily "finished" or even fully working. They are just in the current alpha build where they may or may not work to a satisfying degree but still need some polish all around.

Hopefully capital ships will be good not just for sieges but also for long duration mining and exploration missions. Having a mobile base to repair ships and process resources so you don't have to go all the way back home to do it would be such a quality of life improvement once you have the resources to make one.

I do wish we could move the capital ships with thrusters, maybe they will try to add this later down the line as I know there are technical complications. But hey, they have made it so they have a role in combat at least which to be honest is more than I could have realistically asked for. Big ships like this moving with thrusters is more of a dream of mine rather than a feature I want to be worked on soon.

Loved the video Captain Jack! I wonder how the ships from Star Wars or Star Trek will look if someone builds them in Starbase!
That might be interesting, Two Venators, Four Arquitens and about Ten Consular C70's under your command against Two Sovereign-class Starships, Three Excelsior-class Starships (hope I'm spelling that right), Three Miranda-class Starships, and Eight Defiant-class Starships.

interesting roadmap as stated in the video thank the devs they thought about company(group/org) bank and pvp (even if light for now ) will please many people on a more personnal note im gonna keep a reserve excitement wise until i witness the stability of the servers i do have better hopes because the hosting company has a wee bit more experience than a certain other one ( shhh we all know right? ) just to keep this post civil for everyone :) good video jack !! this genre has an incredible ammount of potential like every builder mmo but it needs to mature alot more and go in the right way to get to the end goal we all know ( finished masterpiece ) so who will it be hmm maybe this one see you all in june :p

i hope this fills the void in my heart since worlds adrift went down back in 2019.
i dont wanna wage war or anything... i wanna just go out and haul shipments around, go mine, jsut chill and explore.
and before you guys say "elite dangerous" i want to actually customize my ship down to the bolt, and actually see my cargo physically like worlds adrift had.
