New Ford Fiesta ST revealed: Fast Ford fans rejoice

The all-new Ford Fiesta ST
Ford has revealed a brand new Fiesta ST, based on the upcoming seventh generation of the popular supermini. The biggest news is the move to an all-new engine configuration, with the old 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine making way for a lightweight q.5-litre three-cylinder turbo. The new motor produces 197bhp, 17bhp more than the outgoing model.

For a car costing £18K, with a more than decent interior, good emissions and it is a good package. Since the car is smallish and has to fit 4 adults, then the back gets a bit compromised, but then you can use this a a small family, everyday car. A lot to like here.

1.6L 4cyl down to 1.5L 3cyl? Sounds awesome to me. I love low-displacement engines with lots of power. The Fiesta with the 1.0L is on my list. I need a new car for under $20k.
