I want to thank you for having such a fun and informative channel, I use it as a tool to explain things to my impressionable young teens. Thank you for making space fun again.

Amy, a very nice piece on John Glenn. I think you touched on the aspects that made him a true hero. Sadly, they don't make 'em like that anymore. It will take quite an person to fill his shoes.

Pete (I am guessing) loves tuna, just like Pete Conrad the commander of Apollo 12 did. Pete always "crashes" your Saturn V rockets, like Bruce Peterson crashed the Paresev. Pete needs a hole in a door to get inside a different room or to get inside the house, similarly the Gemini astronauts needed the hole to get to the laboratory. (I can't think of a comparison...) The car was the Pontiac convertible. Pete (the cat) is named for Pete Conrad, the very same as in the first answer

Rest in peace John Glenn a hero of humanity.
I've been wondering if you given any thought to do a show on Voyager 1 and 2 in the future? Love the show, keep them coming.

Since it is a holiday theme, the Astronaut Memorial Grove at JSC is once again lit up with Christmas lights. You might know that all the trees except one, Pete Conrad's tree, is lit up with white lights. Every year Pete Conrad's tree is given red lights. Apparently Conrad was known to say, "If you can't be good, be colorful." It is nice to see every year they keep up this tradition to honor him.

There was once a man named 1) PETE CONRAD, he has a best friend named 2) ALAN SHEPARD, and together they loved space. They worked very hard 3) TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE MOL SPACE LAB. Pete drove a 4) FORD MUSTANG while Alan drove a moon buggy, they both loved their rides though. They took a cat to space, and decided that every cat in the world will be called 5) CHARLES PETE CONRAD JUNIOR.

Hope you liked the story! P.S: love your videos since day 1

Love the channel Amy!

Al Bean wanted to eat Dick Gordons Tuna, since he heard a rumor that that was what Bruce Peterson ate just before he survived a crash in his M2F. A crash which made him famous in a TV show opening scene. After examining the wreckage of the M2F1 crash, the air force wanted to see what else could survive flight with a hole in it. So they launched a Gemini capsule with a hole in it's heat shield to see if a pilot might survive re-entry in that configuration. They covered up this top-secret project by saying the hole was for an astronaut to transfer directly from Gemini to MOL without going out on EVA (a likely story). Later NASA tried to get some extra cash for their own secret projects by going into the used car sales business, but, the only car they had to sell was a Pontiac Bonneville convertible with a souped up engine. This car had previously been used to tow lifting bodies around the desert so they never made their money back on it. Charles "Pete" Conrad Junior was known to have been interested in the car but instead opted for a trip in his mercury capsule. He didn't buy the experimental hole-in-the-heatshield feature.

Amy, you're better at selling then any of the current ladies I see in nationwide commercials. You could make big bucks in TV ads. I'm serious.
