How does FEDEX choose the names for their planes?? #shorts

Did you know that all FedEx planes have a name, which can be found below the cockpit window?
Hats off to FedEx, who name their planes after the newborn kid of one of their employees. If that isn't a company you are too happy to have a kid with, I don't know what is!

Hi Joe! When I worked for FedEx Express, my daughter, Stephanie, was chosen to have an aircraft named for her. It was a 727-200 and my family was able to see it in person at KPHL. It was quite an experience, Her plane was retired and gifted to the Broward County EMS in Florida and is enjoying the good life at KFLL,

If I'm not mistaken, JetBlue also names all of their aircraft as well. The JetBlue aircraft names typically have the word "blue" in them or some variation thereof.

Did you know FedEx is the lowest rated package handler in Denmark. And they have a door to package Narnia where all packages disappear.

Tarom fleet (Romania) had their planes named after local rivers.

Yep there is an old FedEx 727 at our airport in town named Nikki. She was brought here to be used as a teaching aircraft but that idea never went fully through. She is now missing an engine and there is talk about her leaving town.

Here's a fun fact about plane names. During the Eisenhower administration, AI r Force One was a Lockheed Constellation named "Columbine". Mamie Eisenhower was from Denver, Colorado, and the Columbine is the Colorado State flower.
