INGREDIENTS
4 ears of corn kernels
4 cups water
12 oz can of evaporated milk
2 to 3 oz piloncillo or to taste
1 Ceylon cinnamon stick
pinch of salt
1/3 cup cold water plus 2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp ground Ceylon cinnamon
freshly grated nutmeg

I remember drinking this as a kid. I didn’t realize it had so many steps to make it. That’s probably why my Mom didn’t make it that often😆. She really didn’t show me how to cook because she didn’t have any patience for it but I’ve always wanted to learn how to make some of my favorites. I will definitely be looking them up on your channel. My Mom was born and raised close to Monterey Mexico and I noticed your cooking style is a lot like hers. 😊👍♥️

Looks delicious! We used to get a sweet sticky corn side dish at a restaurant called Don Pablos.. it was a smaller ice cream scoop or two. Sometimes it had a little powdered sugar dusting, depending on who was cooking. Best sweet corn dish I’ve ever had! They put it on all the lunch & dinner plates. It would be amazing if you knew how to make that. I think it had condensed milk & raw sugar or the cone sugar. No cinnamon or other flavors.. just sweet sticky corn goodness ✨

I just made this and it was soooo delicious! Thank you Anjelica ❤️ I used to have to drive all the way to a place called “King Taco” to buy their Atole but thanks to you I can make my own and it’s even better. I used a can of corn bc I couldn’t get my hands on fresh but I followed the directions to a T and it is so so good !
