On July 28, the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy's Type 052D guided missile destroyer Jiaozuo participated in the Russian Navy's 328th founding anniversary celebrations at St. Petersburg port. The event featured a naval parade overseen by Russian President Vladimir Putin, showcasing ships from Russian, Chinese, Indian, and Algerian navies to mark Russia's Navy Day. Jiaozuo, noted for its significant tonnage and advanced weaponry, drew considerable attention from spectators. The destroyer arrived in St. Petersburg on July 22 and participated in a deck reception and open day event for the public and media before the parade. The Navy Day, celebrated annually on the last Sunday of July, also included events in Severomorsk, home to the Russian Northern Fleet.

I watch this and think, "this is such a waste. I could make a lot of money recycling all that junk. Just imagine the number of beer and soda cans that could be made from this scrap."
