There are many mysteries surrounding the Lost Media of Halo games. Reaching from Halo media lost to time, to possibly fake rumors from years ago, to partially found lost media.

I had saved a bunch of them years ago on my old laptop, so not that long after all of those were taken down, I randomly decided to check out that old laptop again for old times sake. there was a Halo CE machinima i remember from years ago that was an homage/parody of RvB. it was on Sidewinder, and there were 2 spartans hiding behind a rock while a third was just unloading into the rock from the gunner seat of a warthog. i distinctly remember the gunner saying "this would have been so much easier if they hadnt killed my driver."

i only watched this video once, and i dont know who those creatives were, but i miss them everyday.

I’m glad that they changed the name to Arbiter. It’s way cooler, and it has closer ties to the Old Testament “Judges” that the role is based off. Watching this video, I was actually surprised that it was a last minute change because it’s such a better name.

Something I’ve always thought would be cool is if MCC included all the pre release builds of games. Imagine being able to play the e3 Halo 2 demo. Or being able to play around in the 1999 CE build seen at MAC world. With mod tools coming to MCC with full support on steam workshop imagine the things people could do with those builds.

18:10 I'm so glad that so many people have uploaded archives of old Halo machinima that were uploaded to the old Machinima Youtube channel back in the day. So much great content was almost totally lost when the channel shut down had people not downloaded the videos back in the day.

I pre-ordered Halo 2 way back in the day, but I only got the normal edition where the Arbiter is only mentioned once in the end credits in the manual. (Rampant Speculation Ahead) Could be that some of the manuals printed for the special edition which the manual was set in the Covenant's perspective might have the Arbiter listed as Dervish.

15:05. There's an interesting history behind this. While the map that was intended to be a remake of Halo 2's Lockout didn't make it into the game, the map The Cage that we did get is a remake of a cut map from Halo CE by the same name, which Halo 2's Lockout is actually a remake of. So, in a way, Lockout did make it into the game...but in its original form, not Halo 2's iteration.

Oh man, that one takes me back. The original creator of the video is Lyle Rath, so if anyone were to have a backup, it would be him. I dunno if he would be willing to release it though. From what I can tell, he seems a little embarrassed by his older machinimas. Not only that, but I believe some of them had humor that may not go over well today, so that may be another reason why he wouldn't release it. Still, it wouldn't hurt for someone to try to ask him if they're ever given the chance.

Some Halo Legends music tracks could be considered as lost media since they can’t be found anywhere. I mean, the Arbiter’s fight music in The Duel and the track that plays when Cortana explains the consequences of the Halo array in Origins are some examples of that.

I used Wayback machine to go back to Halocharts and actually found screenshots that were saved when I was logged in. It brought back a LOT of great memories from the Halo 3 days.
