Hundreds of calls for service at Jacksonville apartment complex prompts board to declare it a nuisan

The owner of the Downtown East Apartments told Jacksonville's Public Nuisance Abatement Board he needs help with reducing crime at his property.

These apartments are Soo scary looking i instantly felt unsafe a few months ago when I went to go visit a friend..There are some good ppl who has been living there for years a lady told me that's her home...It's not safe anyone can just walk up in the apartments and get on elevators there is no cameras no code to get in the building or nothing..All I seen was thug looking men standing in the hall way...plus the complex is Soo old and run down looking I'm glad my friend moved out if they can't afford to keep the building up they need to just shut it down because the condition is very horrible...
