Chris has exceeded everyone's expectations. I admit I was worried when I saw in the first show doing the group number but he's been wonderful, better then some previous contestants who had full vision. I hope he makes it to the final and wins. Kudos to Dianne for her training methods & not just going through the motions.

I admit, I wasn't sure when I first heard about a blind contestant on Strictly - I worried that people would think he got the "sympathy" vote, whether it was warranted or not.
But I cried every single time Chris danced - he hit every beat, never put a foot wrong, and was perfectly in time with the music and Diane.
As mentioned in the video, Diane couldn't use videos of previous competitors or professionals dancing to help with the technique, nor could they use a mirror so he could gauge what he had to improve. As someone whose whole family did Ballroom Dancing (my brother and sister at Competition level), I know how hard it is for ANY Celebrity to learn these dances in a week or less, so what Chris and Diane achieved is nothing short of miraculous to me.
It was lovely to see how Craig interacted with him, and gave him and Diane the highest praise and deepest respect (when he gave him a few pointers for their dance in the final).
A worthy winner (I am a bit late to this party, I know!), not just Chris, but also Diane - I admit, she is one of my favourites, so it is so nice to see her finally win, though she earned it, all the way.
I don't know how either of them did it, but I am so glad they did, and no sympathy was needed in the slightest.
One of the best, if not THE best, partnerships ever!

Used to watch strictly but none this year. We gather girls together having eats and movies. I can say that it has lost its charm and I'm not alone as my extended family of around 70 of us are agreement. Rubbish
