I can understand cost, space, those things. But that's where it stops.

If a couple genuinely don't want me there, I can't understand that.

You forgot the most important part, which is to reassure the person who wasn't invited that you genuinely appreciate them nonetheless.

I would NEVER speak to a “friend” who didn’t invite me to their wedding.

I'm very bad at handling *not* being invited to weddings. I have this mindset that means that I equate being invited to a wedding to being valued and appreciated.

If you aren't going to invite me to your wedding, please, *please* have a plan to support me emotionally. And *never, ever* expect me to be immediately understanding, because I genuinely struggle with that.
