Hi everyone! Today's video is the second episode of my thrift flip series. This time I'll be showing you how to make a really cute linen dress with tie straps. It's perfect for the summer time and is inspired by Reformation. Hope you guys like it!

I’ve been looking for a pattern to make something like the Monette linen dress from reformation in a cotton gingham fabric I have. This is exactly what I wanted but longer and I LOVE that I’m learning to make my own patterns and understand silhouettes better. I’m so happy I found your channel!

Ah now I begin to understand how versatile the bodice pattern is! By the way, great subtitles!

When you remake the updated bodice video, can you show how you cut these pieces out? I'm a bit confused.

Hi Coraline, I am making a mock up but I found out my top is gaping. At 2:20 you said you entered 1.5cm. I also added that amount. Should I add 2.5cm for instance? Will that help me to reduce the gaping at the front?
If yes, how do I know how much I should enter?
This is my first pattern making so I don’t know a lot 😅
