Chinese chicken satay with noodles is another easy recipe for anyone to try. It has everyday ingredients and can be made as a lunch with friends or a quick evening meal. The quantities are for 2 people but can be doubled up as required. Add your chilli with caution - you can add more in but your can't take it out! Chinese cuisine has been very popular in Scotland for many years and we have our own unique way of cooking which may be different to dishes made in China or other countries. Ingredients
1-2 chicken breasts sliced or diced
1 red or green pepper
2-3 cloves chopped garlic
cooked egg noodles - fine or medium
ground black pepper
2 heaped tablespoons peanut butter - any kind
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1-2 tablespoons honey
pinch of chilli flakes - or fresh chopped chilli to taste
1/2 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice or salt & pepper chicken seasoning
1 tablespoon sesame oil
hot water to mix
