"The end of the world? Does it really matter anymore? If I succeed, no-one will care because the world will have begun again. If I fail, I don’t care whether this world survives or not." -Nox

He cried when he realised all the people he killed was for nothing. He thought if he turns back in time all of his killing wouldn't have happen. imagine the amount of guilt he must have feeled after is plan failed.

The lesson of Nox's story: treasure every moment you're given, because once they're gone, they're gone *forever*

20 minutes. All that pain, for 20 minutes.

Poor guy.

"nothing is scarier than a man who had nothing to lose."

That was the truth about Nox, a man who would end the world because he lost everything.

he was the greatest Wakfu antagonist. One of the better written antagonists ever. I still get teary eyed at the mere remembering of his true story, why he did all he did. He was certainly an amazing tragic antagonist.

The sad thing is. There's a theory that it did actually work. Because in the scene where Yugo forced the Eliacube to activate, they teleport to a storm ridden plane with what appears to be Ogrest in the background. And from what is known of the events before Nox's family's death, it would coincide with the time where it happened since it was revealed that his family was killed by Ogrest's Chaos. But in the heat of the moment and the obsession with getting Yugo's wakfu, he teleported back to the present and lost all that wakfu from the going back and forth which is why he only had 20 minutes left in the machine.

Man, Nox's story is just sad. I mean, stealing the very life out of countless beings, plants and such, for over 200 years in an attempt to go back in time and save his family, and what he gets is only 20 minutes. 20 minutes, only enough to reverse the destruction of the Sadida Tree, for his several hundred years of pain. Poor guy.

Nox's character is one of the best examples of incredible willpower!
Force majeure, the toy of the gods, destroyed his life. But instead of just surrendering in the face of that which is higher than the mortal’s understanding, he, as a USUAL man, subjugated the power of the gods, defeated dragons and successfully fought with whole countries alone. At the same time, incredibly suffering all these years, but stubbornly moving towards his goal.
Surprisingly, this character very clearly shows what the willpower of an ordinary person is capable of in a seemingly hopeless situation when the whole world and even the gods themselves are against you.

Nox is one of my favourite villains. I love sympathizing with the villains especially Nox.

Nox, the coolest time wizard I've ever seen.

Hey, Thanos. You see that?
That's a Man whose Goal would have actually made the World a better place.

Too bad it did not work.

I love that line “I’ll try and do it right this time around” and “Because a part of me is dead and in the ground.”
It fits Nox so well. And that through line of “If you could go back and fix your mistakes.” which I’m sure everyone has felt at some point in their lives.

If only we could undo some terrible mistake. Which is what makes Nox so sympathetic. A mistake so terrible he might as well be dead if he didn’t have that desperate hope of making it right.

"Nothing is scarier than a man who has nothing left to lose or has everything to gain."
Both categories fit like a glove on Nox.

He sacrificed so much.
He suffered so much.
So much tears.
So much pain.
He spent 200 years only trying to erase his mistakes.
He spent 200 years only trying to get his family back.
He worked so much.
For 20 minutes.
Now, there was nothing left.
Not even sadness.
Not even hate.
But he finally understood.
He was only repeating the same pattern, the same mistake.
He just wasn’t ready to face the truth.
Now, he was.
He was going to accomplish what he should have for so long.
He was finally going to see them.

Nox is easily one of my favorite villains in any show. He is just so well done! Having an interesting back story, a tragic past, a good reason for being who he is now and why he is doing what he has been doing for centuries. He even looks just so damn cool! And his logic was sound, too! It gave him the push to be able to do all of the horrific things he needed to do to have his spell work.

And the best part? He technically WINS. Think about it. He beat everybody in the first season. He got all of the energy he could get for the cube, and his spell *actually works!* he proved everyone wrong and had his spell work! They said it would tear the universe apart, yet it didn’t!

And yet... it only reversed time by 20 minutes. Centuries of collecting energy... for 20 minutes. And when he realized it, that his spell technically required more energy than he could ever hope to collect, that he had done such horrific things and forever be unable to undo them - which is, again, one reason why he was able to convince himself to do such things -, it broke him. So much so that he apologized, crying, and left to let himself die on the graves of his family...

Nox has beaten everybody. He has overcome every battle, but he lost what mattered most. All of that makes Nox one of the best villains in any show.

It is a shame that we won’t ever see him truly come back though. Like through a sort of redemption arc where he could try to make up for everything he has done, thinking it’s to make up for what he did for his family’s sake, and to be able to face them one day when he dies. That would have been interesting to see in the latest season of the show...

God, I hope they make another season. >.>

Is it bad I wanted him to win. But only to go back find his family and move on.
