Anish Giri's world-class French Defense repertoire

If you'd love to...

✔️ Reach unbalanced positions versus the king's pawn game
✔️ Fight for the full point
✔️ And keep your options open and your risks low

Then the French Defense is the opening repertoire you're meant to play!

Your chess opening coach, Anish Giri!

If you must choose an opening mentor from today's top players then there is no better player than super GM Anish Giri.

He is known for being the most theoretically well-prepared player on the planet.

And, in this remarkable repertoire, he gives you a blueprint for reaching comfortable equality or a slight advantage - even against the world's elite.
I think this repertoire is as bullet-proof as I could make it. And, I certainly stand by everything I've said and written here.
- GM Anish Giri
Combine this championship-level preparation with his keen eye for long term strategic plans and sound positional understanding in closed positions and you've got the perfect mentor to teach you the French Defense.

The complex positions that can arise after 1.e4 e6 demand subtle move order tricks, harmonious piece play, and timely pawn breaks. Giri spent months analyzing and rediscovering the favorite opening of his youth to find new ideas and novelties. Now, he's sharing his discoveries with you in over 400 trainable variations and over 11 and half hours of video. So you, too, can play the French Defense like a super-GM.

Here's what you'll learn:

♟ Fight back against the sharp 3.Nc3 with the uncompromising Winawer (3...Bb4). Keep White on his toes with GM Giri's opposite-side castling approach. With 10 chapters dedicated to this variation, you will be armed to the teeth against 3.Nc3.

♟ Clear-cut plans to keep your king safe and solve the "bad" c8-bishop. Iron out these opening problems and you are guaranteed a pleasant position.

♟ Repertoire clash versus Harikrishna's French Toast. GM Giri gives you the map to dynamic equality...IF White plays perfectly. If not, then you have a variety of ways to gain the upper-hand, including a queenside clamp with ...c5-c4 and a stunning exchange sacrifice.

♟ Antidotes to White's second-move sidelines. Take the sting out of the King's Indian Attack, the Reti Gambit, 2.Nc3, and 2.f4.

♟ More than 70 alternative variations to add variety and surprise value to your play. Making you less predictable and more dangerous.

♟ Key plans and middlegame strategies simplified. GM Giri transfers his expert knowledge to you, with over 55,000 words of engaging and club-player-friendly instruction.

Out of 100 games you will play from the Black side, you will face 1.e4 more than 50% the time.

So, let GM Anish Giri be your guide for more than half the time. Play the French Defense, play against 1. e4 on a whole new level!

I purchased this course. I will play like him during 20 moves and blunder something when I am out of the book on move 21, of course 🙂

Something to say about this guy: his book In Chessable is the funniest chess I have read! Really, I like to go through the lines just to read his jokes. And by the way, the book is also a great repertoire, of course. Winawer, with very solid lines and here and there a flashy move that you can play in your games and say afterwards you found it over the board.
