What a great idea. Go kids! Clever, simple and innovative design 😊

I love this! Kids are smarter than we give them credit for.

To all the people whining that harnesses are better, they aren’t — they also can let dogs pull. Train your dog not to pull, which is a much safer way to walk and keep them under control. You’re also missing the point. This was a kids who came up with a design and brought it to life as a business — that’s extremely difficult for an adult to accomplish let alone a kid.

There’s also no better or worse. Different equipment works for different people for a variety of reasons. I have a service dog who wears a Ruffwear martingale collar to primarily hold his tags and have ready for use in an emergency where I can’t get his other gear on fast enough, a Fi tracker on their provided flat buckle collar layered under that because they don’t sell an attachment that would work with my particular martingale, a Gentle Leader head halter that is used for walking and working (he doesn’t pull, but he wears it for both our safety since I’m disabled — it would help me ensure he doesn’t get lost or hit by a car and I don’t get dragged trying to hold him on a regular harness or collar), and occasionally a Ruffwear harness with a chest connector if he’s having an allergy outbreak and his nose is too itchy to wear his Gentle Leader. That’s not counting the special custom made mobility harness made and designed by his school that allows him to counterbalance my weight safely without putting any strain on his body.

There are all sorts of solutions out there, and tons of dogs walk safely on a flat buckle collar. If you choose not to train your dog to walk nicely, then a harness might be better. For those who use flat buckle collars safely, this kids came up with a great idea! Give her a hand — let’s support her, as she may end up designing products and/or starting businesses as an adult thanks to this collar! I would love to see this kid come up with a similar concept for the Fi tracker module and a Martingale with chain insert that has no clip opening and slides over the head (like the one Ruffwear has made for years). Great job! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Harnesses are best for their necks and throats. Do they also design adjustable harnesses?

This is awesome but I have problems with the clasp, I struggle to take the collar off when I need to. I have to try and find a collar with a buckle 😊

As a child (many decades ago) I lost a dog to a collar, picket fence and rope. From that experience all my dogs wear harnesses.
Love you doctor!!!

Brilliant design. I'm always trying to find the clip, especially as my dogs (Shelties) have long hair.❤️🇦🇺

The clip ( hardest part) would be right on the trachea. Not good idea. I use a harness and then a collar only for the ID.

Dr. Jones, I'm kind of surprised you would suggest walking a dog with a collar and not a harness.

I only use harnesses and a gentle covered w rubber tips crimp collar in certain public places on my big 100 lb boy

This is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Im 65 and I use a harness which means the clip is always at the top and a harness is so much better than a collar in my opinion regardless of the size of dog.
