Most common reason for ice on discharge and suction line in Split AC OD unit for any brand, is less refrigerant in system.

If an AC is giving normal cooling but either suddenly or gradually cooling reduces or totally vanishes then refrigerant leakage is a common cause. In such situation ice may come on suction or discharge lines or both.

Mechanics are human beings. Like all of us they are capable of mischief not limited to delibrate leakage of refrigerant gas.

We have come across incidents where the mechanic has easily drawn out the refrigerant gas from customer's AC and fill his cylinder, maybe not 100 percent but around 40 to 70 percent.
