I remember as a kid cross country skiing with my dad, we were miles in on the trail we mapped out on an old map. We got to a point where a bridge across a small river was supposed to be but was long thats where the sole of my boot came off and i had only one usable ski.

Smart when in doubt follow train tracks. Also good tip to see if they are regularly used is wipe the snow off and check if the top is shiny and polished. If it is then it’s is in use. If not it’s abandoned or rarely used

I grew up in Vermont and now live in the greater Boston area. People here have zero concept of how dangerous a moose is, my coworkers looked dumb founded when i told them that moose will stomp you to death just for sport.
