my great great grandparents lived and married there, James Higgins and Mary Farrell, and one of their sons, emigrate to Argentina., my great grandparent Edward Higgins.. so beautiful to see this, thank you!

is this the same ballymahon, county longford, where oliver goldsmith was born nearby in the town's suburbs?
if so, who wrote the famous epitaph on his grave?
it went something like ...
HERE LIES OLIVER GOLDSMITH,
FOR SHORTNESS CALLED OLL,
WHO WROTE LIKE AN ANGEL,
AND TALKED LIKE POOR
i think it was a scottish writer, a contemporay of his, who penned it.
