University of Michigan Medical School Residency Prep Courses

At the University of Michigan Medical School, the last few months of training are dedicated in part to the transition to residency through our Residency Prep Courses. Students spend four to eight weeks, depending on the specialty, running through mock codes, simulated paging exercises and targeted didactics to refresh and build practical skills in a simulated clinical environment. Several of our alumni who are now residents talk about how these RPCs helped them get the best start in their new careers.

Im 14 and I want to become a surgeon when I get older but I am worried that I won’t be able to start a family that I would be too busy and never have time for family. Also to become a surgeon it takes years of school and I don’t want to be 35 years old and still be in school so now I’m not sure what I want to be when I grow up😕
