Tornado ravages Joplin, Mo., 89 dead

Cynthia Bowers reports on the latest in the aftermath of a massive tornado that struck Joplin, Mo., leaving at least 89 people dead.

I actually went to Joplin with my church yesterday and 141 were dead, and 3 others died in hospital care

I think the winds were faster than 150mph! A twister 3/4 of a mile wide!!! =/ Entire buildings are gone! Try more like close to 300mph!

I went through joplin on greyhound saturday night, it was dark, and we must have went through a part of town not much affected, since I only seen torn apart trees and some empty spots, when we paralleled the hospital from 3 miles away, I couldn't believe what I seen.It was as clear as day even at night. That hospital made me eery and sick of what happened even though is was almost 4 months ago!

Are you kidding me? People are dead, others severely injured. Lives have been destroyed or extremely altered. My father, mother and nephew were seriously injured in the Joplin tornado. This is not the time nor place to complain about one another's political views. And, shame on you for wishing something like this to happen to someone else. Whether or not you believe in God is not my business but it is my business when you wish another tornado would come along and finish the job.

Why do these things happen I am not sure, but I do know that Revelation, Isaiah and Daniel warned us that we would see these events as we move closer to the end of times. Unfortunately, a lot of times the innocent gets hurts with the wicked. My heart breaks for everyone who was affected by these Tornadoes. The Mormon Helping Hands in number of over 550 today were in Joplin to offer free help with anyone who needs it. We were divided into groups and sent to different areas.

, there were sirens going all night, it was by far the worst thing of my life!! my aunt almost died and the room i was born in destroyed! the best pizza place in the state demolished! that was where i grew up and loved, if you dont say anything else about what happened.. sorry if you think i was harsh, i didnt mean it that bad, but your telecasters had to say something! 4 of the seniors that my brother worked with over the summer died, if my mom and brother wold hav taken a dif rod, theyd b dead

i heard that some little boy he was 5 years old and he was at his grandmas house and he was sitting out on the porch sitting on his char and everything man it was wow and he was alive and his grandma and his brother was in the bath tube anbd he was stuck in a tree and it was so sad and he said it was the funny ronler coutster ever and he wanted to rided agine and everythign this is my dads i for got to long in mine well i live in webb city and my mom was in ain jopline at a graushtiom
