I believe H and M said they were going to name their daughter after the queen and I believe the queen thought it was going to be Elizabeth not her nickname which was her own private name. I believe Queen Elizabeth was very angry by this betrayal especially by Harry

The fact that the queen only allowed certain people to use the name, possibly in memory and a tribute to her own father as it was he that lovingly gave her the pet why would harry and his wife want to use the private name of the woman they went out of their way to attact, humiliate and destroy everything she had dedicated her life to...so it could only be that they did this to hurt her further...just an opinion on what has been reported

There is a Redon why Tom Bower called his book revenge . The Harkles went mad when their titles were restricted from them by the Queen. They viciously did it knowingly that this name is pretty private to the Queen. Also they knew that she was sick and they did not respect her privacy .

Such disrespect and disloyalty to his Grandmother with whom he always said he “had a special relationship”. He has affine way of showing it with his lies, actions, immature and treasonous behavior. He does not deserve any consideration on any subject by the Royal Family and he and his malevolent wife should be declared persona non grata anywhere in what is left of the British Empire and their names and titles be stripped from the British Monarchy altogether.

To say ' we want to call her or name her Lily ' is not the same as ' we want to name her Lilibet '...of course Harry would eliminate the naming of the child from his book because the Queen was still alive

I really found it both disturbing and very weird that H & M would even think about using the late Queen’s special nickname given to her by her father. It’s just not right.
