LG V60 ThinQ vs. Galaxy S20 Ultra: 8k Camera Test!!!

Both the LG V60 ThinQ and the Galaxy S20 Ultra both shoot at 8K. who does a better job 2ith 8K Video?

LG is stuttering a lot. S20 focus issues

S20 Ultra almost looks like it zooms in to capture 8k while LG using main sensor for 8k. As well as the Ultra has trouble truly staying focused.

S20 Ultra was sharper/clearer, but it seems to have autofocusing issues the V60 doesn’t have. Are you using the latest camera update from Samsung?

The Ultra seems a bit oversharpened so I guess V60 is slighty better. I'd rather look for the 4K comparison though.

The dynamic range and the stabilization is way better in the LG V60

I actually love the lg camera colors looks better than the Samsung. But the s20 camera looks waaay smoother than v60.

Are you using rec 709 conversion?
I wish there was a 6K 30 mode, i know there is 4k and 1080P up to 240fps in the manual modes.
Hopefully both will constantly update their photo/video/audio apps and quality through software.

They both have their issues, but lgv60 looks better, more true to life. Not to forget with lgv60 has 25fps and you can use the 8k cam in full manuel video mode.s20 has 24 and has NO 8k video manuel mode.

Could you please do a comparison with 1080p, 1440 and 4k?
8k isnt even practical
And use manual mode with highest bitrate on the lg

I could see focus issues on ultra and crops in soo much compared to the LG but it’s detailed (cud be due to cropping). V60 was not smooth and seemed like it blew the sky

Both cameras disable autofocus on 8k mode. Neither got any stabilization on that mode. Better to stick with 4k 30fps for now.

We limit yourself to the 8k? This realistically will be the less used option on these 2 phones. Seems like a waste of time :-( I'd really enjoy a full comparison instead. To check how well LG flagship compares to Samsung's one (software experience, durability, battery, cameras, desktop mode, etc.)
